How it works ?

  • I WANT TO CONTRIBUTE
  • I'M A PROJECT OWNER

With The Crowdfunders Club you can propose or support innovative projects in the New Technologies sector.
The Crowdfunders Club allows project developers to raise funds through the support of a community of international contributors who wish to invest in innovative ideas and creative startups!
You’d like to support an innovative idea? It’s very simple!

1- CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

Click on “registration” and choose the type of account that best suits you, whether that be a personal account or a business account!

2- FIND A PROJECT YOU LIKE!

Once your account is created you can get started!

Visit the “all projects” tab to discover all current campaigns.

You can choose to filter the projects by category, country, currency, popularity, etc.

3- CONTRIBUTE AND THAT'S IT !

On each project page you can see the campaign’s progress on the right, including the number of contributors, the number of days remaining and the amount collected. By clicking “Contribute” you can choose the amount of your contribution and returns. The currency of payment is specified by the project leader.

You can choose to make your contribution public or private, whatever suits you best!

In order to validate your contribution, The Crowdfunders Club will redirect you to a secure payment page. All that is left is to provide your bank details! Payment using PayPal will be available shortly.

Congratulations! You’re now an important contributor to this campaign!

Note:

For individual accounts:

  • For contributions exceeding € 2,500 per year: a copy of a valid identity document (ID or passport) must be uploaded in the “My Account” tab.

5- GIVE YOUR WHOLE SUPPORT
You’ve just contributed to a project? You can give it an extra boost and help it achieve (and exceed) its fundraising goal! Sharing the project you support will give it greater visibility, whether on social networks, your blog, with your friends, family, etc. The project leader will very much appreciate the encouragement and the project itself will experience greater success!
6- GOAL ACHIEVED!

Congratulations! The project you’ve been supporting has achieved its goal! You will be receiving returns in no time…

When the project reaches its collection target, the total amount is transferred to the virtual project leader.

When the target is exceeded: each additional contribution is paid directly to the virtual project leader.

If the funding target is not reached, you will be refunded fully and without charge to your virtual portfolio.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR VIRTUAL WALLET ?

Once you open an account with The Crowdfunder’s Club, your virtual wallet is created. To access this area, login to your account and open the “My financial information” tab. You can check your balance whether that be in Euros, Dollars or Pounds Sterling (depending on the currency of the projects that you support).

When a project does not reach its fundraising goal or when you ask to be paid before the project reaches its goal, your contributions will be transferred directly to your virtual wallet.

The available balance in your virtual wallet can be used for new contributions. (Note: If the amount of your contribution exceeds the amount available on your virtual wallet, you will be asked to pay the difference by credit card).

At any time, and very simply, you can transfer the amount in your virtual wallet to your bank account. To do this, be sure to provide your banking information in the “My Account” section, under the “My information” tab. Simply click “Cash out to bank account” here!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A PROJECT LEADER?
HERE’S HOW TO LAUNCH YOUR VERY OWN PROJECT AND ENSURE YOU MEET YOUR FUNDRAISING GOAL!

You’re ready to launch as soon as you create your account!
Attention to project leaders: proof of address (a bill dated within three months validating your address) and identification (CNI , passport , etc.) are required. You can download all necessary documents once you have created your account by accessing the “My information” tab.

1 - CREATE YOUR PROJECT

Before you set up your project page, choose which language you would like to propose your idea in : French or English. Don’t forget to specify your language preferences in each tab : description, returns, team, news, questions/answers.

Tip : multiply your chances of success…for more global visibility, make your project page available in both languages!

    • Name your project: the title should give our members a clear and simple idea of what your project is all about!Tip: Put yourself in your contributor’s shoes…they’ll be more inclined to support you if your project name speaks to them.
    • Write a short description of your project: this is how you get your foot in the door! It must be a maximum of 100 characters. This will appear below your photo displayed on the page containing all current projects. Be creative, but above all, be clear and enticing! This will be the first thing out members read about your project…Tip: This short description will appear in the compacted view of your project, You’ll want to make potential contributors eager to find out more about your project!
    • Long Description: this is the detailed presentation of your project! It should appeal to a wide audience. Here you need to tell your project’s story! How was it born? Why do you need funding? Talk about yourself, your company, etc. so that contributors know more about you and your background. You can add images and videos in this description. Please feel free to incorporate multi-media into your page; it helps members to better understand your idea and brings credibility to the project.Tip: Don’t hesitate to detail your planned expenses and explain what the funds will be used if your project exceeds its collection target. Indicate if you plan to fund all or part of the project through this fundraising.
    • Specify which category: In The Crowdfunders Club, projects must be innovative and related to the new technologies sector. To help us better understand your project and drive potential contributors to your project on page, choose a category. If your project does not belong to a pre-defined category, select “Other”.
    • Upload your thumbnail image: this thumbnail picture will illustrate your project. It will be the face of your idea. It will be placed above the name of your project and its short description on the page that contains all current projects.Tip: An aesthetically pleasing image will help you promote your project. Choose a high-quality image. If possible, a photo or a 3D prototype of your project. If you do not have one yet, you can easily find a free image on specialized websites that will help your audience visualize your idea.
    • Add multi-media like photos and videos: this is optional ! If you want an image (other than your thumbnail image) to appear on your project page, you can add a picture here! You can also choose to put a video in your project page. A video is often more eloquent than a simple image: you could add a video interview with the project leader or demonstrate a 3D model of your project, for example.
    • Choose which currency you would like to crowdfund in!
    • Setting your campaigns goals is a key factor: Set the desired amount of your fundraising campaign. Be realistic, it is important that you calculate the amount you think you will need for your project. Keep in mind that TCC is based on an all-or-nothing funding; that is to say, in order to receive funds, the fundraising goal must be met or exceeded. If your goal is not met, contributors will be fully reimbursed.
    • Choose the campaign duration (2 weeks to 3 months): It’s crucial to optimize the time it takes to raise the desired funds. You need enough time to launch your campaign, leverage your network, build buzz etc. But campaigns that are too long tend to lose momentum and fail, so think wisely about this!Tip: Just because your campaign duration is longer doesn’t mean it will be more successful! Shorter fundraising campaigns (approximately 45 days) tend to be more effective.
    • Propose attractive rewards: rewards can turn a simple page visitor into a contributor. For this reason, you should choose carefully. Offer something interesting, be original, play to your audience’s emotions! For example: it’s better to offer a t-shit autographed by the team than just a T -shirt! Feel free to mix it up : you can offer unique gifts in exchange for higher amounts. For example, “a video of my robot singing a song in your honor.” Attention: make sure your gifts don’t cost you too much money or are unachievable!Tip: Do the calculations ahead of time for how much your rewards will cost you and include this amount when you set your fundraising goal.
    • Now add your team members
    • The tab “News” will be used to keep your contributors informed during your campaign: your project’s progress, a team photo, conference dates, or simple thanks to your supporters!
    • The Questions/Answers section is very useful: this allows contributors and potential investors to better understand your project. They can quickly find information by browsing through the Q&A.

Tip: If you see that there are common or relevant questions, do not hesitate to add them to your Q&A section! This will make it easier to understand your project for new contributors, and will help you to avoid answering the same questions several times.

Once submitted to TCC, your project may not be changed…neither the fundraising goal amount nor the duration of your campaign!

Once the campaign is live, only information about the team, news, and Questions/Answers may be modified.

Before being approved, each project is subject to careful analysis. If the project is accepted, it is then promoted by The Crowdfunders Club and has a very good chance of meeting or exceeding its fundraising goal!

TCC may ask the project leader to specify certain elements in order to validate their project first.

2 - PROMOTE YOUR PROJECT / FINANCING

Congratulations! Your project has been validated by the TCC team. It’s in line with our goals and we believe it will reach its fundraising goal! Your project is posted, and the countdown begins. But don’t limit yourself to simply publishing your project on this platform !

Now you have to meet your fundraising goal! To do so, follow these steps:

1/ Tell your network about your project: your friends, family, co-workers. These people will make up the foundations of your new community that will support and promote your project. Their support will come in several forms: financing, sharing on social media, or even words of encouragement on your project page. A positive environment around the project will help to ensure its success!

2/ Do you have your network’s financial and moral support? Ask them to share your project with their own network; you’ll see that the potential for growth is huge and your community will expand exponentially. It may only start with moral support, but the financing is sure to follow soon after!

3/ Wait until your project has progressed enough to proceed to the final step : expand the project’s promotion to people you do not know at all : use word-of -mouth, share your project on social networks, contact influential bloggers or media outlets that may have an interest in your project. Buzz attracts more buzz!

3- CREATE A SENSE OF COMMUNITY : YOU AND YOUR CONTRIBUTORS ARE SHARING AN ADVENTURE TOGETHER!

Because search for donors is very important, we must not overlook those who have already contributed, especially those who have supported your project from the beginning!

The “News” page of your project is specifically designed to keep in touch with your contributors. Update it regularly to thank contributors, share important moments in your development ( product photos, your team at work, etc.), encourage them to share your project page. Remember to answer questions, and why not ask them too? Their ideas and opinions can also help you make your project even better!

And above all, make them feel involved in every victory; because they really do succeed when YOU succeed. Reach out to them at key stages of fundraising (50%, 90%, for example ), when the goal is achieved, and throughout the rest of the adventure!

4- GOAL REACHED! SEND YOUR DONATION GIFTS AND KEEP IN TOUCH

Congratulations! You’ve hit your fundraising goal!

When you reach your fundraising goal, a first payment will be made to your virtual wallet. This does not mean that your campaign is over! Fundraising stops at the date selected previously. All contributions exceedubg your goal will be paid to your virtual wallet continuously until the end of your campaign.

Don’t forget to send your rewards to contributors. Respecting commitments is important; broken promises will be sure to disappoint the community that supported you. Think long-term, these same contributors might (or might not) support you in one or many future campaigns with The Crowdfunders Club.

Contributors will be happy to hear about your project’s progress. Remember, a person who has supported believes in your idea, and is therefore a potential buyer as well!

If unfortunately the minimum target for the fundraising is not met, contributors will be refunded without charge (both you and them).

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR VIRTUAL WALLET ?

When your project meets its fundraising goal, the funds are transferred directly to your virtual wallet.
